It was such a pleasure working on actress Jordana Brewster’s Mandeville home, and as a huge fan of farm-to-table living, Teryl Ciarlo was delighted to be able to provide a landscape that spoke to Jordana’s organic roots!

“The exterior of the home stayed true to the original design in that it’s one story and vaguely ranch-style, though it’s far more grand now. The original featured Caribbean-feeling turquoise strips, which Brewster honored with shutters in the exact shade. They tried raising chickens, but the birds have since given way to a vegetable garden and orange trees, which the kids get involved in.”
Teryl Designs loves garden-to-table and fresh citrus trees, so she installed four garden boxes filled with herbs and vegetables, and multiple varieties of citrus trees.
Teaching children the importance of learning where their food comes from, such as done here at Brewster’s home, is an underlying goal in all of Teryl’s designs, and this project delivered on that purpose for generations to come!
